Don't miss the chance to book your sessions with award-winning British freelance photojournalist, writer and filmmaker, Lalage Snow, at the 2019 Emirates Airline Literature Festival.

Snow will have two sessions on 2 March at the Intercontinental in Dubai Festival City. The first is a solo session discussing her latest book, War Gardens, a journey through the most unlikely of gardens: the oases of peace people create in the midst of war. The second session will be a group one with Nadifa Mohamed and Ashish Ray discussing how do we learn to live together in the shadow of bitter conflicts. Lalage Snow has covered war in the Middle East and Afghanistan for over ten years. She has worked for a variety of publications such as The Sunday Times, The FT, The Telegraph and more. War Gardens was her first publication, released in 2018, and it explores current conflicts through the peaceful act of gardening. Lalage often combines journalist and art on personal projects many of which have been exhibited around the world to critical acclaim. She produced, filmed and directed Afghan Army Girls for Channel 4.
