Dr. Ally Zlatar

University of Glasgow

Ally Zlatar is an artist, scholar, and activist. Founder of The Starving Artist and its Scholarship Fund, she advocates for systemic reform through creative voices. Her "This Body of Mine" project supports migrant artists globally. A recipient of awards like the Commonwealth Innovation Award (2023), she studied in the UK, including an MLitt from Glasgow School of Art, shaping her work at the intersection of art, mental health, and social justice. 

Mrs. Raneen Qarada

University of Lincoln

Raneen is a scriptwriting analyst at MBC, the largest media company in the Middle East, where she refines narratives and mentors aspiring writers. Studying creative writing at the University of Lincoln transformed her approach, equipping her with valuable techniques and nurturing her imagination. Raneen aims to revolutionize Arab fantasy storytelling, making it globally competitive. She is currently working on her first fantasy-drama series and a children’s movie.

Ms. Somya Mehta

University of Leeds

Somya Mehta is an award-winning UAE-based journalist and published author. She has contributed to leading local and global media, covering arts, culture, and lifestyle. Honoured by the Mohammed bin Rashid Library, Somya excels at social trendspotting and authentic storytelling. She has interviewed global figures, reported on women’s issues, sustainability, and digital art, and co-authored research published in the Internet Policy Review (2022).
